Fire safety training

As we strive to raise standards in all areas across the school, very important are health and safety issues. In line with this commitment, we organised a fire safety training programme led by the Operations Section of the Rangsit Municipality Fire Department. All staff and students were in some way involved and it was a very informative and useful day for all involved at the school. Fire safety training gives school staff the awareness to prevent fires and helps take the panic and uncertainty out of evacuations when they happen. The students did very well evacuate the building in 1 minute and 37 seconds.

Well, done everyone, have a safe and happy weekend.

Songkran festival

Happy Songkran!

The Songkran festival at school this year began with the Thai cultural tradition of pouring water onto the image of the Buddha, including pouring water on the teachers' hands to show respect and ask for blessings over the coming year. Students embraced the cultural experience by building sand pagodas. Afterward, they spent time on the big field playing water balloon games and engaging in water play.

SiamIS wishes everyone in the school community a happy and safe Songkran this year!

Play is children's work

Play is more than just fun—it's the key to unlocking a child's potential. From learning new skills to fostering creativity. playtime shapes our children's futures. Toys are objects designed for children to play with, providing entertainment and enjoyment. Play is the heart of learning and child development. Children learn through play, and every time they play, it is a fun learning experience. Play helps children understand their own potential and develop various skills through all five senses: sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing.

The Benefits of play:

-Enjoyment and Pleasure: Playing brings joy and pleasure, creating fun and enjoyable experiences for children.

-Learning New Things and Skills: Play allows children to learn new things and acquire new skills through exploration and experimentation.

-Problem-Solving Practice: Playing often involves solving problems, providing opportunities for children to practice their problem-solving skills. -Eye-Hand Coordination: Many play activities require coordination between the eyes and hands, enhancing eye-hand coordination skills. -Physical Strength and Coordination: Playing helps children strengthen and coordinate their muscles, promoting physical development and strength.

-Social Interaction: Playing with others allows children to interact socially, fostering relationships and developing social skills.

Overall, play is fundamental for children's learning and development. It is a joyful and enriching experience that helps children grow physically, mentally, and socially.
